so, how important is it that an athame be metal and have a black handle? i'm just curious; i have a longish sort of knife that i made from bamboo years ago at my grandparents' house. i really like it; it's got lots of fond memories associated with it.

I've always had to keep a low profile as far as my religious identification goes. That, and my room is tiny, with any and all spaces taken up by piles and piles of books (some of which by Cunningham, Buckland, and a few on the tarot).
